We equip and empower pastors and leaders in Burundi and beyond through client-based coaching. By fostering clarity, hope, and confidence, we help leaders pursue their God-given vision and experience lasting transformation in their churches and communities.
⭐ Our Journey
Since 2018, I’ve partnered with pastors in Burundi, helping them implement a nationwide vision for healthy churches. Five trips later, these relationships have become the foundation for meaningful coaching, training, and leadership development.
In 2019, I completed professional client-based coaching training and began offering coaching to pastors at no cost. Since then, I’ve earned both an Associate Coaching Certification and a Professional Coaching Credential from the International Coach Federation (ICF), completing over 1,200 hours of coaching.
I also train leaders in the COACH Model of client-based coaching—a transformative, practical approach that is brand-new for many international pastors. Many leaders are experiencing, for the first time, what it means to be deeply listened to, supported, and encouraged—leading to renewed clarity, confidence, and strength in their ministries.

Hi, I’m Mike Somers. I live in Camarillo, California, with my wife, Jane. We married in 2016 and together have five sons and eleven grandkids—yes, the math really does make a great story!
My career has taken me through 30 years at Trader Joe’s, followed by 16 years as Executive Pastor at Crossroads Church. Since 2018, I’ve served as Director of Services and Director of Coaching for Vinia (Missionary Church Western Region), where I oversee coaching initiatives that strengthen and empower pastors and leaders.
In 2022, I founded Coaching International, and in 2024 felt God prompting me to “step into the deep end of the pool” and expand the ministry’s reach.
My calling is simple: I help others make vision happen because when leaders live out God's purpose, they transforms themselves and those around them.
⭐ Why I Coach
I coach because I’ve seen firsthand how clarity changes everything. When a leader gains vision, confidence, and a renewed sense of God’s calling, entire churches, families, and communities are strengthened. Coaching gives me the joy of walking alongside pastors and leaders as they discover what God is stirring in them—and helping them take courageous steps forward. Nothing excites me more than watching a leader move from uncertainty to purpose, from overwhelm to hope, and from “I’m not sure what’s next” to “I know exactly where God is leading me.”
Fun Fact: I started learning the cello in 2016—because growth never stops.
